Schedule a morning run that works while you sleep
Chain your daily AI tasks into one scheduled run and wake up to a short review list.
Once you have a few AI routines (draft replies, chase invoices, sort leads), the next step is to stop starting them by hand. Schedule them to run overnight, and start your day with a short list of things to approve.
Pick the routines
A good morning run for a solo business has three to six steps:
- Draft replies to unanswered customer emails.
- Draft reminders for unpaid invoices.
- Sort new leads and inquiries, best first.
- Check every draft with your checker agent.
- Write a one-screen summary: what was drafted, what was flagged, what needs you.
Schedule it
Use whatever scheduler your tools offer. Claude Code supports scheduled tasks; automation tools like Make or n8n can trigger AI steps on a timer; a simple cron job works too if you're comfortable with one. Run it a few hours before you wake up.
Keep it safe
- Every step only drafts or reports. Nothing goes out without you.
- Each step writes what it did to the summary, including what it skipped and why.
- If a step fails, the run continues and the summary says so.
Your morning
Open the summary, work through the flagged items, then read and send the drafts. The goal is 20 to 30 minutes of your attention for a day's worth of admin.
