Is this quote big for them? A one-line check

Before a price goes out, size it against the buyer, not your rate card.

A quote that looks normal on your price list can look enormous to the person reading it. Before any quote goes out, ask one question: is this number big for them?

The three comparisons

  1. Against their size. Look up their revenue or headcount. A $3,000 package is easy for a funded company and a big decision for someone starting out on their own.
  2. Against their own budget. If they mentioned a budget in a call, a form or an email, find it. A quote above the budget they told you is the most common reason for silence.
  3. Against your last number. If you quoted them before, how big is the jump? Going from $500 to $5,000 needs an explanation even if the scope changed.

Write it as one line

Have your AI produce the result as a single sentence before the quote is sent. For example: "0.1% of their revenue, but 3x the budget in their brief and 5x our last quote to them." That one line tells you whether the email needs more work.

If the number is big

Don't cut the price first. Make the number easier to say yes to:

Put those in the email itself, near the price. A buyer who has to do the maths alone usually decides it's too much.
