Find buyers on Reddit without spamming

Answer the question that was asked, say who you are, and let the answer sell.

People on Reddit ask for tool recommendations every day. A helpful, honest answer from someone who builds the thing can win a customer. A disguised ad gets you banned. The difference is a few simple habits.

Find the right threads

Set up free keyword alerts (F5Bot is a popular one) for your product category, your competitors' names and the problem you solve. Each morning, have your AI sort the alerts and keep only threads where someone is actively looking for a solution.

Write the reply

  1. Answer their actual question first, even if the answer isn't your product.
  2. Say who you are. "I build X, so I'm biased." Disclosure is required by most subreddits and it makes you more credible, not less.
  3. Compare fairly. Name the alternatives and when each is the better choice.
  4. One link at most, and only if it helps them.

Keep a human on the button

Let the AI find threads and draft replies, then read each one yourself before posting. Check the subreddit's rules on self-promotion, and post from your own account under your own name or brand. Never let an agent post on its own, and never use multiple accounts to upvote yourself.

Follow up

Check back the next day. Replies to your comment are warm leads, and answering them well matters more than the first post.
